We understand you may still have some unanswered questions. So we have put together some of the most questions we get asked.
Making an account is easy, automated, and free. You need to visit our Signup page and from there you can start by entering your information.
If there is anything that is at the top of our priority, its your data. We don’t want your data to be compromised in any way. So DonorCloud has been designed to make a portal for each of our users. A subdomain is created along with a new database. This means that the access is unique, as is where the data us stored.
Password strength checks encourage users to choose strong passwords. Although inconvenient to have strong passwords, its essential that all accounts have strong passwords to prevent potential hacks.
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is also something that we have developed and encourage. Using an authenticator tool such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator, an extra layer of security can be added on each account. This is an optional, but highly recommended security feature.
Of course you can, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Your data belongs to you and it has to stay that way. So long as you have an account with us, you can export your data as many time as you want.
Currently, all accounts are free to create and use. The only thing that there is a charge for are any donations that have been taken using the platform. This is because there is a transaction fee that is charged from the payment gateway provider. There are also certain parts that we need to ensure are done correctly, so DonorCloud also charges a fee for this.
Currently the rate is set at a competitive 2.5% on top of the payment gateway fees.
Example
You receive a donation of £100 from a donor using a UK bank card. Our payment gateway provider will take approximately 1.6% + 20p. DonorCloud would further take 2.5%.

We don’t charge any monthly or annual fees at this stage. The only fees that we take are for any donations that are made, and these are to cover the transaction fees and upkeep of the dynamic donation module.
We currently do not have any paid plans, so there is no reason to upgrade or downgrade. All account types are free at this moment in time.
DonorCloud’s main feature is to be able to take donations on your own website. We understand that donors need to have trust during the donation process, and that starts by being on the website of the organisation in order to make the donation, and not some random hosted page. Its easy to reset your password. Simply go to your portal and click on Forgot Your Password. You will need to provide your email address to receive a reset link. From there you can set a new password.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to add multiple organisations within one account. However, you can add the website donation module to multiple websites.
We try to give as much support as possible, at any hour. However, our main timings are Monday-Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm.
